COOPEAGROPAL RL has helped to make drinking water, housing, health programs and fairs available for the community, including a clinic that offers medical services to the associates. As well as its agreements with the Ministry of Education and the national universities have improved the population’s level of education.

At the same time, with its own resources, the cooperative is in charge of the constant maintenance of 300 (three hundred) kilometers of roads, more than 250 (two hundred fifty) canals and 65 (sixty five) concrete bridges.

The region of Coto Sur has experimented an evident improvement in employment, income, and the quality of life of the families in the community. Many of them who were simply workers in the banana plantations have become the owners of oil palm farms.

Plus 80% (eighty percent) of Coto Sur’s indirect employment is generated by the cooperative.

The support given to its associates also includes a provisioning store where they can find all the products and services needed for a good development of the palm industry, offering the latest technology and excellent quality at competitive prices. The associates have also access to the department of associative credit, where they can be given financial aide.
